The Movie ‘Barbie’, which was directed by Greta Gerwig has earned nearly $100 million in Nigeria after only two weeks in theaters.

According to the latest numbers from the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), the Margot Robbie-led film grossed 31 million during the weekend, increasing the film’s total profits to 98 million.
Barbie is also gaining popularity around the world, earning $774 million worldwide and ranking as the third-largest film of the year. Nigerian fans and movie lovers have looked forward to the release of the American fantasy comedy film directed by Greta Gerwig and co-written with Noah Baumbach.
The Barbie-themed event saw Nigerian celebs on the red carpet during the movie premiere in Nigeria on July 21st, giving their own touch of elegance and flair to the spectacular affair.
