The Nigerian Senate has approved the appointment of all 45 ministerial nominees of the President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu after a 6 day screening exercise.
Amid some of the controversies faced by some of the nominees, the senate led by Godswill Akpabio has approved 45 nominees to be appointed as Minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
However the confirmation of former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has been withheld pending security clearance after a security petition was raised against him.
It would be recalled that Akpabio had emphasized that the screening exercise was not a confirmation process and as such nominees were open to more probe or investigation.
