Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has withdrawn his interest in serving in the Tinubu led administration.
This is coming after the former Governor was screened but not confirmed by the senate due to security petitions laid against him.
Recall the Senate had confirmed 45 out of the 48 Nominees forwarded to the senate through the Chief of Staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila.
However, El-Rufai, Mrs Oketeke and one other nominee were not confirmed for various reasons.
In another twist, the former governor of Kaduna State has come out to state that he would not be taking up the nomination or a ministerial position in the Tinubu led administration.
This is coming after El-Rufai’s visit to the Villa yesterday.
He also revealed he will be continuing his PhD program in the the Netherlands. El-Rufai also reccomened his two time commissioner, Jafaru Ibrahim Sani.
There are speculations that some forces around the president may strongly be against the emmergence of El-Rufai as a member of the Tinubu led Federal Executive Council.
In a recent video going viral on the internet, El-Rufai was seen speaking to newsmen, where he revealed he never wanted to serve in Tinubu’s government, but was constantly called on by the President to serve.
