The senator representing the Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, has come under fire by Nigerians for saying that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited most of the problems from the past Buhari administration.
Oshiomhole made this declaration after a closed door meeting with the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday, August 15.
‘No plans to increase fuel price’ -FG
According to the former Edo State Governor, some of these steps and decisions taken by the President are initial moves in a bid to rejuvenate the economy of the nation.
Oshiomhole however appealed to Nigerians to be patient, adding that President Tinubu had shown bravery by curbing the corruption in the the subsidy regime and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) via his decisions.
Oshiomole also a former National chairman of the APC has urged Nigerians to remain calm, adding that the tensions rising between the government and labour from the removal of fuel subsidy will be resolved in due time.
In the words of Oshiomole:
“Tinubu recognizes the impact the withdrawal of fuel subsidy is having on Nigerians and is determined to take immediate action to cushion it.”
