The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has today, 21 August 2023 sworn in his new Ministers into office.
However, of all the Ministers sworn in, former Governor of Rivers State and now Minister of the Federal capital territory has sparked A lot of reactions.
Wike who assumed office today also help a press conference in his new office and the FCT.
The former PDP Governor in his remake vowed to leave no stone unturned in ensuring Abuja returns back to the original Master plan.
In his address, Wike promised property owners who may have built in unapproved areas or distorted the master plan that their buildings will go down.
While he promised to carry out his duty in the most impartial manner, some people have opined that the new Minister may use his office as a tool to witch-hunt his political rivals.
One of such people in that school of thought, is the former spokesman to Atiku Abubakar, Daniel Bwala.
Bwala while trying to send a subtle message via his verified twitter handle has this to say:
“Hello sir, in case you need refresher course; the basic needs of the residents of the FCT are; affordable healthcare facilities; access to good education facilities, clean sports and recreational centers, affordable transport services system, efficient and workable street light in the city Centre and the suburbs; and finally, security. You came with a bullish and vendetta spirit venting fire and brimstone about demolition and revocation of titles. Abuja is not Port Harcourt. If you create chaos in the city, you will jeopardize your principal,s interests and he will be forced to sacrifice your job. You will learn humility on the job.”
