The former Governor who resumed his office as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory didn’t waste any time before dishing out strong threats to owners of illegally built structures in the city.
Wike while fielding questions from Journalists had said he would leave no stone unturned in returning Abuja back to its original master plan.
And this would include demolishing structures sitting in unapproved areas in the city.
Wike in his speech also said he would carry out his duty irrespective of party affiliation or political status.
In his words:
“All those people who are distorting the masterplan of Abuja, too bad. If you know you have built where you are not supposed to build, it will go down.
“Be you a minister of anywhere, be you an ambassador, if you know you have developed where you were not supposed to develop, your house must go down.”
