The projected arraignment of former Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emiefele over a 6.9 billion naira financial fraud charged has been halted again.
The case was not listed among the number of cases to be heard today at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja on Wednesday with no reason given as lawyers to both parties were absent in court.
The ousted CBN Governor was scheduled to be arraigned last week Thursday, however, the process could not continue due to the absence of the second defendant.
Although Emefiele (the first defendant) was present in court, the second defendant, a female CBN employee, Sa’adatu Yaro, was not in court.
