As confirmed by the state’s commissioner for information and strategy, Neido Geoffrey, the government has contracted Innoson Nigeria Limited to supply the 58-seater IVM buses to the state.
Geoffrey in his statement also said the procurement of the new buses was to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy.
The Government in a similar reaction has also asked residents in flood high risk areas to immediately relocate due to the release of water from the Lagdo dam over River Benue.
The government said:
“This is to inform the general public, especially those living along the River Benue valley, to relocate to safe places to avoid flooding with its devastating effects on lives and properties.
“This is as a result of the release of water from the Lagdo-dam over River Benue.”
