Owing to the multiple protests over the President’s choice of state reps for Ondo and Cross River States in the NDDC board, the President has taken fresh steps.
President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate replacement of the representatives of Ondo and Cross River states on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
While Victor Akinjo was replaced by Otito Atikase, Oku Okang of Cross River was replaced with Otuk Duke.
“Furthermore, the immediate past Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, is reappointed to a second term and will remain in an acting capacity pending Senate’s confirmation of his reappointment,” Presidency disclosed on Friday.

Recall that the appointments of both Atikase and Okang into the board of the NDDC were greeted with protests and rejection from APC stalwarts in both States.
The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu has applauded President Tinubu for his swift reaction to the recent cries of the people.
