Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has replied critics over his viral video.
Two days ago, Obasanjo during a road commissioning in Oyo State ordered monarchs present to stand up and honor him.
In his speech, he opined that President and Governors were in higher authority than royals and must be honored.
The video which went viral did not sit well with some royal fathers and also Nigerians who have taken to social media to condemn the action.
OBJ in his response today via his X account insisted that the governor is the leader of the state and must be respected by all.
In his words:
Other Monarchs including the Oluwa of Iwo land, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi Telu I have expressed their displeasure over the act by the former president.
