Nigerian musician Naira Marley and socialite Sam Larry have been detained for a period of 21 days. A video has emerged of them at the court premises.
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh released a video of the guys after a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, handed down the verdict on Wednesday, October 4.
In the video, Naira Marley and Sam Larry, both wearing masks, climbed the courthouse stairs with their legal lawyers, while passersby recorded the spectacle.
The Lagos State Police Command brought Naira Marley and others before the magistrate court and ordered that they be held in detention for the next 30 days while the investigation was underway.
However, the Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, ruled that the Marlian chief and others be kept in custody for 21 days.
Many have demanded for their arrest since the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, amid suspected bullying of the late musician. Despite their denials that they were responsible for the musician’s death, some Nigerians have asked police to investigate them because of their previous feud with the singer.
The court ruling came at about the same time when the police declared Primeboy, a friend of Mohbad, wanted.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos police spokesperson, said Primeboy failed to comply with the invitation regarding the investigation into Mohbad’s death.
The police also offered a reward of N1 million to anyone with useful information that would lead to his arrest.
