BBNaija reality star Mercy Eke has been accused by a woman named Debbie of neglecting to refund a large debt of N1 million after the show concluded.
Debbie addressed the situation on Twitter, alleging that Mercy Eke and her sister, Promise, had not followed through on their financial agreement to purchase premium “ICUs” to vote for Mercy during her appearance on the popular reality television show.
She explained that she had received threats and intimidation from Mercy’s sister, Promise, after making her issues public.
According to Debbie, Mercy’s sister refused to repay the debt because Mercy did not win the BBNaija tournament, instead finishing as the runner-up.
Also, some fans came forward to expose alleged information that Mercy Eke herself had reserved a substantial amount of N4 million to purchase votes in an attempt to secure victory in the reality show.
It is essential to note that this controversy comes shortly after Mercy’s sister, Promise, had openly criticized the BBNaija production team for her sister’s second-place finish in the competition, claiming that both she and a group of supporters known as “mercenaries” had worked tirelessly to ensure Mercy’s victory.
