The Presidency has just confirmed moves by France to return $150 of loot by former Military head of State, General Sani Abacha. The decision was revealed by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngeale, who also said the president has applauded the decision of France.

The President commended the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Catherine Colonna, adding that the move will further strengthen bilateral relations between both nations.

“Thank you for the good news on the return of Abacha loot. We appreciate your effective cooperation concerning the return of Nigeria’s money. It will be judiciously applied in attaining our development objectives,”
