Netizens reacts as church invites Pasuma, Portable to perform at praise night


The Celestial Church of Christ branch in Lagos State has come under fire for scheduling street-hop musician Portable and Fuji singer Pasuma for their praise night performances.

The church announced on its Facebook page that on December 15, 2023, it will celebrate its seventh year with an Ankara/Praise Night.

Netizens were offended by the inclusion of secular musicians like Pasuma and Portable, and they voiced their disgust in the comment section.

Some questioned whether it was appropriate to invite nonreligious performers to a religious occasion.

Sharing the poster of the event, the church wrote:
